Bihar Congress Issues Show‑Cause Notices to 43 Leaders After Poll Setback

Failure to reply within the deadline could lead to strict action, including expulsion from the party’s primary membership for six years.
Those named include former ministers Afaque Alam and Veena Shahi, former spokespersons Ashok Gagan, Anand Madhav and Suraj Sinha, and former lawmakers such as Chhatrapati Yadav and Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh.
Several of the notified leaders have sought changes in state leadership and the AICC Bihar in‑charge and say they will hold a sit‑in on November 22 in Patna followed by a visit to Delhi on November 24.
