Overview
- The cabinet approved new Youth, Employment & Skill Development, Higher Education, and Civil Aviation departments to drive jobs, education quality, and air connectivity.
- Dearness allowance rose 5% for Sixth Pay Commission beneficiaries (252% to 257%) and 8% for Fifth Pay Commission beneficiaries (466% to 474%), payable from July 1, 2025.
- The Industries directorate was retitled as the Directorate of MSME, and Mines and Geology was split into Directorates of Mines and Exploration with mining and security sub-directorates to curb illegal mining.
