Overview

  • An English version of 'What You Want' featuring U.S. singer-songwriter Teezo Touchdown will be released Aug. 22, drawn from the demo they recorded together during an open Los Angeles song camp, the agency said.
  • The group launched in Seoul on Aug. 18 with the prerelease single 'What You Want' and showcased live choreography performed on treadmills at its media debut.
  • 'What You Want' fuses 1960s psychedelic-guitar riffs with boom-bap hip-hop as the EP’s lead track.
  • Positioned as a 'young creator crew,' the five members co-write songs, build choreography and co-direct videos after a three-month Los Angeles camp and a selection process that winnowed more than 300 demos.
  • This is BigHit Music’s first boy group in six years, with Martin and James holding prior credits on ILLIT and TXT projects and seniors BTS and TXT offering encouragement and performance feedback.
