• Big Thief have released two new tracks from their sixth studio album Double Infinity, offering early glimpses of its emotional scope.
• “Los Angeles” navigates the shift from lovers to friends while “Grandmother,” featuring Laraaji, explores generational love and pain.
• “Grandmother” is the first song the band wrote and recorded as a trio following bassist Max Oleartchik’s mid-2024 departure.
• Double Infinity was captured live last winter at New York’s Power Station with collaborators including Alena Spanger, Hannah Cohen and Jon Nellen.
• The album is set to land September 5 and will be supported by a North American tour running September 17 through November 7.
