Big 12 Paid Former Commissioner Bob Bowlsby $17.2 Million in Final Year

The Big 12's fiscal year 2023 gross receipts totaled $511 million, with member distributions ranging from $41.9 million to $48.3 million.
Bowlsby's successor, Brett Yormark, earned $1.2 million in compensation for his partial year as commissioner.
Other notable payouts include former Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott's $1.5 million severance and ACC's John Swofford's $2.6 million.
