Bienestar Registration Closes as CDMX Reaches Hombres Pension Goal

City officials will seek funding in 2026 to add another 77,000 men to the program.

  • The proposed 2026 expansion of Hombres Bienestar would add 77,000 more beneficiaries in CDMX, subject to approval by the city Congress.
  • Beginning in September, disability beneficiaries who turn 30 in states without universal coverage will lose the pension, and the benefit is not inheritable except for a one-time pago de marcha to a registered auxiliary.
