Biden to Fund Free COVID Vaccines, Treatment for Uninsured through 2022

The Biden administration announced a $1.1 billion plan to offer free COVID-19 vaccinations and treatments to uninsured Americans through 2022.
The government will buy extra vaccine doses and cover the costs for pharmacies to administer them for the uninsured after the current supply runs out.
Officials plan to set up a program with pharmacy chains to provide free vaccines and treatments to uninsured people.
The program comes as Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson have pledged to provide vaccines at no cost to people without insurance.
Community health centers and state and local health departments will also receive discounted doses to distribute to the uninsured.
