Biden Sole Democratic Candidate on North Carolina Primary Ballot

Decision by State Board of Elections Sparks Criticism from Excluded Candidates

President Joe Biden will be the only Democratic candidate on the North Carolina primary ballot, following a unanimous decision by the North Carolina State Board of Elections.
Other potential Democratic candidates, including Rep. Dean Phillips, Marianne Williamson, and Cenk Uygur, were excluded from the ballot.
The North Carolina Democratic Party justified the decision, stating that to be on the ballot, candidates need to have donors in the state and be actively campaigning there.
Candidates excluded from the ballot criticized the decision, accusing the Democratic Party and the Board of Elections of undermining democracy.
The North Carolina Republican and Democratic primaries will be held on Super Tuesday, March 5.
