Biden sends key aide to meet Saudi crown prince as U.S. seeks to strengthen Gulf ties and counter Iran

White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan is traveling to Saudi Arabia to meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Sullivan will also meet with officials from the United Arab Emirates and India during his visit.
The discussions will focus on new areas of cooperation between New Delhi and the Gulf, as well as the United States and the rest of the region.
The Yemen war and Iran's nuclear program will be significant topics of conversation during the visit.
The visit is a sign of warming relations between the kingdom and the Biden administration as the U.S. seeks to bolster ties with allies to counter Iran.
