Biden Re-Election Campaign Staffs Up, Names Two New Senior Aides Despite Past Controversy

Former White House Deputy Press Secretary TJ Ducklo will join Biden's re-election campaign in a senior communications role in July, despite resigning from the administration in February 2021 for threatening a journalist.
Ducklo will be based in Delaware and serve as a senior adviser for communications.
Digital Strategist Rob Flaherty is also expected to take on a senior role with the campaign after leaving his position in the White House.
The hires come as Biden's re-election effort has been slow to fill key positions, though the campaign expects to announce more appointments in coming weeks.
Michael Tyler, a former Democratic National Committee national press secretary, will serve as communications director for the campaign.
