Biden made a mix-up during his speech, confusing pop singers Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Britney Spears, which sparked mockery on social media.
The President also made light of his age during the event, joking that it's 'difficult turning 60' and that he wasn't present at the first turkey pardoning event 76 years ago.
Liberty and Bell, the pardoned turkeys, were raised in Minnesota and are said to love Honeycrisp apples, ice hockey, a thousand lakes and the Mall of America.
The pardoned turkeys will now enjoy their remaining years with a department of the University of Minnesota.
