She had initially planned to begin her season at the Merida Open in Mexico later this month but will now focus on recovering for the clay-court season.
Andreescu shared on Instagram that the surgery went smoothly and expressed optimism about returning stronger than before.
The Canadian player has faced significant injury setbacks in recent years, including a nine-month hiatus due to a back injury in 2023-24.
Her most recent competitive appearance was at the Pan Pacific Open in October 2024, following a season where she competed in 10 tournaments, including the Olympic Games.
