Overview

• Constables Santosh Bamaniya and Saurabh Arya, both posted at Piplani police station, were suspended and booked under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita provisions after 22-year-old Udit Gayaki died following an alleged beating.
• An IANS report later said the two have been arrested and will be presented in court, whereas earlier police statements indicated arrests were pending.
• A five-doctor postmortem recorded traumatic hemorrhagic pancreatitis and a ruptured pancreas with more than a dozen antemortem injuries, providing the medical basis for the murder charge.
