Bhagadatta II Flyover Opens in Guwahati After Record Nine-Month Build

  • Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the four-lane, 660-metre Bhagadatta II flyover on July 6.
  • The structure was designated Bhagadatta II to honour the Mahabharata-era king after the neighbouring Supermarket flyover became Bhagadatta I.
  • Local contractor Anil Das Construction, under Assam PWD guidance, delivered the ₹112 crore project in nine months instead of the planned 18 months.
