BFI, ACG Unveil India’s First Residential Basketball High-Performance Centre in Bengaluru

The year-round residential campus is positioned as the talent hub for the planned 2026 India Basketball League.

Overview

  • Located at Lakshyan Academy, the centre features three FIBA-standard courts, a strength-and-conditioning gym, and a 25-metre pool.
  • An integrated sports-science setup covers biomechanics, nutrition, physiotherapy, and mental conditioning under one program.
  • A phygital model uses wearable sensors, smart-court tracking, integrated cameras, and AI analytics to monitor and personalise training.
  • The IBL Invitational Combine is scheduled for November 22–24 in Bengaluru, with nationwide regional try-outs to follow and league schedules and host cities to be announced.
  • BFI and ACG say the facility is operational after a six-month build and will anchor the IBL pathway under leadership including Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger and Technical Director Martin Clarke.
