• On July 28 Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez filed at the Supreme Court of California seeking $182,374 in attorneys’ fees and $8,182 in court costs from Lauren’s brother Michael Sánchez.
• The couple’s petition covers fees incurred in their successful special motion to strike Michael Sánchez’s defamation suit as well as the current fee application.
• The dispute began in early 2019 when leaked text messages and alleged explicit photos provided to the National Enquirer led Bezos to accuse American Media Inc. of attempted extortion.
