Overview
- The Television Academy revealed on August 12 that Beyoncé won a juried Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming for her Netflix-streamed Christmas Day halftime special, Beyoncé Bowl.
- The award was determined by peer panels without a traditional nominee process and will be formally presented at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on September 6–7 in Los Angeles.
- Beyoncé is credited as a costume designer on the entry and shares the Emmy with Shiona Turini, assistant designers Erica Rice and Molly Peters, costume supervisor Chelsea Staebell and workroom head Timothy White.
- This marks her first Primetime Emmy win after more than ten nominations and moves her closer to EGOT status alongside her record 35 Grammy Awards.
- Beyoncé Bowl remains in contention for Outstanding Variety Special (Live) and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, with results due at the early September Creative Arts ceremonies and the Primetime telecast later in the month.
