Overview
- Set for Monday, May 4, 2026, the fundraiser will be Wintour’s first Met Gala since stepping back as American Vogue’s editor-in-chief.
- Anthony Vaccarello and Zoë Kravitz will co-chair the Host Committee, whose initial members include Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, LISA, Sam Smith, Misty Copeland, Gwendoline Christie and others.
- “Costume Art,” curated by Andrew Bolton, will pair garments with artworks to examine the dressed body across themes such as the naked, pregnant and aging body.
- The exhibition opens May 10, 2026, and runs through Jan. 10, 2027, inaugurating the Met’s nearly 12,000-square-foot Condé Nast Galleries adjacent to the Great Hall.
- The Met confirms lead sponsorship from Jeff and Lauren Sánchez Bezos, with additional support from Saint Laurent and Condé Nast; the gala’s dress code will be announced later.
