Denise Coates, CEO of Bet365, received a salary of £221m ($280m) in the last financial year, despite the company reporting a significant loss.

Bet365 also paid a total of £100m ($127.4m) in dividends for the last financial year, a portion of which would have gone to Coates, who owns about 57% of the firm.
Bet365 reported a pre-tax loss of £72.6m ($92.4m) compared to a £49.8m ($63.5m) profit in the previous 12 months.
Coates's salary is higher than that of many top tech CEOs, including Google's Sundar Pichai and Meta's Mark Zuckerberg.
