Health Canada and Best Buy are recalling over 287,000 Insignia air fryers in the U.S. and Canada due to fire, burn, and laceration hazards.
The recall affects air fryers sold between November 2021 and November 2023, with consumers advised to immediately stop using the products.
Affected models include various Insignia Air Fryers and Air Fryer Ovens, with model numbers available on recall notices.
Customers can receive a refund in the form of a check or Best Buy store credit by submitting photos of the recalled unit and cutting the power cord.
No injuries have been reported, but there have been 24 incidents of overheating, melting, or glass shattering, including six reports of air fryers catching fire.
