BESCOM Schedules Nov. 25–26 Maintenance Cuts Near Kyathasandra, Not Core Bengaluru

Each seven-hour window allows link-line maintenance with load management to reduce the risk of bigger faults.

Overview

  • Power supply will be switched off from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 25 and 26 for planned work on the Kyathasandra network.
  • The shutdown targets rural pockets around Gandhamachanahalli, including Hullenahalli, Kalingayyanapalya, Holakallu, Singipalya, Badesaba Rapalya, Virupasandra, and Veeranaya Kanahalli.
  • BESCOM says core Bengaluru neighborhoods such as Whitefield, Indiranagar, Jayanagar, Koramangala, Hebbal, and Yelahanka are not on the schedule.
  • A separate three-hour outage on November 24 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. was reported for emergency maintenance at the K. V. Vidya Substation.
  • Residents are urged to confirm area-specific updates via BESCOM’s website, helpline 1912 or WhatsApp, and to prepare by charging devices and arranging water storage as needed.
