Berlin's Ringbahn Replacement Buses Begin Faster, Traffic-Avoiding Route
New route for replacement buses cuts travel time by ten minutes and improves efficiency following Ringbahn bridge closure.
- Replacement buses for the closed Ringbahn bridge on the A100 now operate on a new route, effective April 4, 2025.
- The adjusted route avoids heavily trafficked areas, utilizing bus lanes along Kurfürstendamm, Lewishamstraße, Kaiser-Friedrich-Straße, and Spandauer Damm.
- Stops at Westkreuz and Messe Nord/ZOB have been removed, reducing travel times by at least ten minutes.
- Passengers can still access Westkreuz via S-Bahn lines S3, S5, S7, and S9 through Charlottenburg, while Messe Nord/ZOB remains accessible via BVG buses and the Kaiserdamm U-Bahn station.
- Sections of Spandauer Damm have been designated as rest zones for bus drivers, following changes to earlier plans for bus lane usage.
