Overview
- About 20 route signs are now in place in Dresden, with additional signage scheduled this year in Landkreis Meißen and on the Brandenburg side.
- The corridor spans roughly 250 kilometers from Dresden’s Frauenkirche through the Lausitzer Seenland and the Spreewald to Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate.
- ADFC Dresden initiated the project in 2012 and volunteers mapped it largely by linking existing paths such as the Dahme- and Spree-Radweg.
- Tourism Minister Barbara Klepsch joined ADFC representatives in Dresden-Neustadt to mark the start of the signage rollout.
- Saxony’s tourism association reports cycling tourism generates more than €560 million annually and supports about 10,800 jobs.
