Berlin Ticket Wins €120 Million Eurojackpot

With the top prize at its legal cap, overflow funds boosted lower-tier wins, including a roughly €21.18 million payout in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Overview

  • Westlotto said a player or tip community in Berlin matched 7, 8, 31, 32, 33 plus Euro numbers 10 and 11 in the 23 September draw held in Helsinki.
  • The €120 million prize equals Germany’s record jackpot and is the second time the full amount has gone to Berlin.
  • A North Rhine-Westphalia entry won about €21,177,159.20 in the second prize tier in the same drawing.
  • On 19 September, four tickets hit the second tier for €5,850,555.10 each in Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia, Finland and Norway as the cap funneled funds downward.
  • The jackpot now resets for the next Tuesday/Friday Eurojackpot draw, which is coordinated in Germany by Westlotto.
