Berlin Schedules 79-Hour A100 Shutdown at Dreieck Funkturm for Bridge Demolition Starting Oct. 30

The shutdown enables demolition to replace the damaged A100 span over Halenseestraße Ost.

Overview

  • Project authority DEGES confirms the full closure from Thursday, Oct. 30 at 22:00 until Monday, Nov. 3 at 05:00.
  • Key links will be removed, including the transfer from the A115 (Avus) onto the A100 toward Hamburg and the exit to Halenseestraße Ost/Messedamm, with no through-route via Messedamm from the A100 south.
  • Freight traffic faces a hard stop, as trucks will have no route from the Funkturm interchange toward Hamburg during the shutdown.
  • Only limited routes remain open: A100 toward Berlin-Treptow; A100 toward Hamburg for cars up to 3.5 tonnes; the A115-to-A100 link toward Treptow; and the transfer from the A100 southbound to the A115.
  • Halenseestraße Ost northbound closes from Rathenauplatz with restricted local access, Messedamm northbound shuts between Halenseestraße and Neue Kantstraße, DEGES urges drivers to avoid the area or use public transport, and the district will carry out urgent repairs at the Halenseestraße/Messedamm junction.
