Berlin S-Bahn to Close Key Route Between Ostbahnhof and Alexanderplatz for Maintenance

The closure, affecting major lines, will run from April 11 to April 22, with replacement buses and alternative routes available.

The S-Bahn route between Ostbahnhof and Alexanderplatz will close for maintenance from April 11 at 9:45 PM to April 22 at 1:30 AM.
Lines S3, S5, S7, S9, and partially S75 will be disrupted, with replacement buses running every 7-8 minutes during peak times.
Passengers are advised to use alternative transportation options, including U-Bahn line 5 and regional trains, which remain unaffected.
Additional closures include the Erkner to Rahnsdorf route until May 5 and Strausberg Nord to Strausberg from April 9 to April 25, with bus services provided.
Travelers using replacement buses must purchase tickets in advance, as onboard ticket sales are not available.
