Overview

• Berlin prosecutors have offered up to €5,000 for information as the case is reintroduced to the public to spur new leads.
• The LKA Cold Cases unit reexamined evidence in 2022 and detected DNA traces on the victim’s clothing that likely come from the perpetrator.
• Police are focusing appeals on people who were in Neukölln near Thomaspark, Thomasstraße or Altenbraker Straße on the evening of 16 January 1973.
• Witnesses are also sought for observations near today’s Jesse-Owens-Allee on the night of 17–18 January and Mohriner Allee in Britz on 18–19 January.
• Investigators ask anyone who recognizes plastic bags marked “Boutique Susanne,” “Uhu” or “feh” to come forward via the LKA Cold Cases hotline, email or Internetwache.
