Overview
- The glasses were removed from an exhibition room of the Mauermuseum at Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin-Kreuzberg sometime between August 2 and 6, 2025.
- Police say the stolen piece is bronze, non-folding, without glass inserts, and measures about 23 centimeters wide by 6 centimeters high.
- The item belongs to a bronze bust of Mahatma Gandhi created by sculptor Shri Gautam.
- The investigation is being led by Berlin’s LKA 444 under case number 250806-1530-452410.
