Berlin Police Hunt E-Scooter Driver After Violent Air Pistol Attack on Pedestrian

A 34-year-old man remains hospitalized with head injuries following a late-night altercation in Berlin-Marzahn; the assailant fled the scene and remains unidentified.

The attack occurred at 0:10 AM near the Mehrower Allee S-Bahn station when a dispute between a pedestrian and an E-Scooter driver escalated violently.
The E-Scooter driver used an air pressure pistol to repeatedly strike the pedestrian's head and fire shots at his face before fleeing toward Liebensteiner Straße.
The 34-year-old pedestrian sustained serious head injuries, including lacerations and hematomas, and is currently hospitalized.
A first responder provided initial care at the scene before the injured man was transported to the hospital.
Berlin police are actively investigating the case, but the suspect remains at large as of April 12, 2025.
