Separate Crashes in Central Germany Trigger DUI Probes, Injuries and Road Closures

Legal steps are underway after suspected drunk driving in two of the crashes.

  • Around 04:00 on Oct. 10 near Groß‑Umstadt, a transporter turning onto the B45 collided with a truck, injuring the 35‑year‑old driver, prompting a temporary full closure and an estimated €23,000 in damage as inquiries continue.
