Overview
- The 470-square-meter public area at the intersection of Kurfürstendamm, Grolmanstraße and Uhlandstraße will bear Juhnke’s name.
- Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf’s district assembly voted unanimously in March to approve the renaming.
- A formal district office decision was issued on April 1 to coincide with the 20th anniversary of Juhnke’s death.
- The renaming was announced in the Official Gazette in May, and the FDP faction has already had the new street sign fabricated.
- The change will become effective on September 1 unless formal objections are received by that date.
