Berlin Man Allegedly Attacks Mother with Knife and Pushes Her from Balcony

A 40-year-old is under investigation for attempted murder after his mother was critically injured in Berlin-Tegel.

A 58-year-old woman was critically injured after falling from the first-floor balcony of her apartment in Berlin-Tegel on Friday afternoon.
Authorities allege that her 40-year-old son attacked her with a knife during a domestic dispute before pushing her off the balcony.
The victim underwent emergency surgery, and her condition has since stabilized, according to hospital reports.
The suspect, who was arrested near the scene, is believed to have a possible psychological disorder and is being evaluated for court-ordered institutionalization.
Police have confirmed that this incident is unrelated to a separate fatal balcony fall involving a woman in Berlin-Lichtenberg earlier this month.
