Berlin Hate-Crime Unit Probes Night Bus Sexual Harassment of Trans Women

Investigators have begun reviewing night bus surveillance footage following the early-morning incident near Hermannplatz.

  • The attackers used explicit words and gestures and two men touched one woman’s legs and buttocks without consent
  • Police arriving at Hermannplatz caused the group to flee and two 18-year-olds were detained for identity checks before being released
  • The women sustained no physical injuries but were left visibly traumatized, authorities said
