• Each 23 cm bronze statuette is individually handcrafted at Berlin’s Knaak foundry through silicone molding, wax casting, bronze pouring and detailed finishing.
• The foundry’s three-month production cycle requires several workdays per statuette, totaling twelve pieces for the 2025 awards ceremony.
• The Goldene Henne will be awarded on September 12 in Leipzig with winners chosen across at least ten public-voted categories.
• For the first time, the ceremony will air live nationwide on ARD instead of the regional MDR channel.
• Named after DDR entertainer Helga “Henne” Hahnemann, the prize began by honoring East German artists and has evolved into a national audience award.
