Berlin Festival of Lights Opens Wednesday With Nightly Citywide Illuminations Oct. 8–15

The program pairs free landmark projections with a ticketed 3D light-and-music series at the Berliner Dom starting Oct. 10.

  • The 21st edition runs under the motto “Let’s shine together,” with displays lit nightly from 19:00 to 23:00.
  • Free installations span major sites including the Brandenburg Gate, the TV Tower, Charlottenburg Palace, the Victory Column and Gendarmenmarkt.
  • An immersive 3D light-art and ambient-music series at the Berliner Dom runs Oct. 10–14, with tickets starting at €50.70.
  • The published lineup covers dozens of locations across the city, including Potsdamer Platz and the Nikolaiviertel.
  • Several projections occur on specific dates only, such as Platz der Vereinten Nationen on Oct. 10 and Park am Rathaus Lichtenberg on Oct. 13.
