Berlin Father Accused of Over 1,000 Sexual Assaults on Daughter

The 47-year-old denies the allegations, claiming a consensual relationship began after she turned 18, as the trial continues in Berlin.

The father is charged with 1,059 counts of sexual abuse, including rape and coercion, allegedly occurring daily from the victim's 15th birthday until she reached adulthood.
Prosecutors allege the abuse took place between May 2015 and June 2024, primarily in the father's Berlin-Schöneberg apartment.
The accused reportedly threatened suicide and the release of intimate videos to force compliance from his daughter, according to the indictment.
The now 24-year-old daughter, who is a co-plaintiff in the case, first reported the abuse to police after reaching adulthood.
The defendant has been in custody since June 2024, with the trial scheduled to resume on December 11, and six more hearings planned.
