• Customs officials at Berlin Brandenburg Airport uncovered a total of 150 kilograms of cannabis in three separate seizures this month.
• The largest single haul, 68 kilograms, was detected by sniffer dog Heidi in two suitcases belonging to two 27-year-old men traveling from Bangkok via Doha.
• Subsequent seizures included over 50 kilograms found in an 18-year-old traveler’s luggage and more than 30 kilograms in another woman’s bags, both arriving on the same route.
• The cannabis was concealed in vacuum-sealed bags wrapped in grey foil, with drug tests confirming the substance as cannabis.
• All suspects have been provisionally detained and face smuggling charges under German cannabis importation laws, with investigations led by the Zollfahndungsamt Berlin-Brandenburg.
