Overview
- Since July 23, the S3 line has been suspended between Friedrichshagen and Wuhlheide until August 5 with a dedicated bus replacement service.
- Lines S41, S42, S8, S85 and S9 are closed between Baumschulenweg and Treptower Park from July 24 through August 4 with shuttle buses at affected stops.
- The S2 corridor will see no train service between Blankenfelde and Priesterweg from July 25 to August 4, with three separate bus routes covering all stations.
- Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg will run additional morning and afternoon S3 trains between Berlin-Gesundbrunnen and Pasewalk from July 26 until September 7 to boost Baltic Sea travel capacity.
- Berlin Brandenburg Airport expects about 3.7 million summer passengers—roughly 100,000 more than last year—with up to 85,000 on its peak day, and autobahn authorities warn of congestion from Saturday.
