• The Max app, a joint project by Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe and Hamburger Hochbahn, has been delayed from an initial first-half 2025 launch to the second half of 2026.
• The app will offer real-time route information and utilization data to help users plan their journeys more effectively.
• Users will be able to purchase tickets directly within Max and access additional mobility options such as rental cars and e-scooters.
• Development began in fall 2024 and the platform is designed to welcome future partners, including other transport companies and associations.
• Berlin and Hamburg are sharing all development costs equally to reduce expenses and deliver a unified transit interface.
