Berlin and Bad Kissingen Set Dates for Post-Season Dog Swim Days

Access depends on vaccination records, insurance proof, timed to chlorine-safe water.

Overview

  • Berlin’s dog-swimming days are set for September 20 at Freibad Staaken‑West in Spandau and September 21 at Freibad Am Insulaner, with hours from 10:00 to 17:00.
  • Berliner Bäderbetriebe set the entry charge at 1 euro per foot and paw, which equals 2 euros per person and 4 euros per dog.
  • For Berlin events, owners must present a valid EU pet passport and a copy of dog liability insurance at the entrance, and only dogs may enter the water.
  • Bad Kissingen will hold its second Hunde‑Badetag on Sunday, September 14, from 11:00 to 16:00, with free entry for dogs and standard admission for owners.
  • Bad Kissingen’s rules require well-socialized, non-aggressive dogs with registration tags, vaccination proof and liability insurance, exclude listed dangerous breeds, puppies up to six months and in-heat bitches, and mandate collars or harnesses outside the pool.
