Bergen Reilly Named Big Ten Player of the Year as Dani Busboom Kelly Takes Coach of the Year

Nebraska capped a 30-0 regular season with the No. 1 NCAA seed, opening at home against Long Island.

  • Reilly also claimed her third straight Setter of the Year award and joined Harper Murray, Rebekah Allick and Andi Jackson on the All-Big Ten first team, with Laney Choboy and Taylor Landfair on the second team and Virginia Adriano on the freshman team.
  • She is just the second Husker to earn Big Ten Player of the Year, following Kelsey Robinson in 2013, and the first Nebraska setter recognized as conference player of the year since Greichaly Cepero in 2002.
  • The junior finished the regular season with 938 assists, 248 digs, 59 blocks, 14 aces and 65 kills on .400 hitting, averaging about 10.5 assists per set in league play, and her 3,562 career assists rank sixth in school history.
  • Busboom Kelly earned Coach of the Year in her first season at Nebraska after an undefeated run that included 25 sweeps, only seven sets dropped and a Big Ten title in year one.
