Bergara and Caldas de Reis Roll Out 25N Programs Focused on Education, Culture and Public Action

Education-led initiatives with cultural performances and civic gatherings anchor local responses to gender violence this week.

Overview

  • Caldas de Reis centers prevention in schools with a campaign titled “Ningunha idade merece golpes” distributed through educational centers and the local commercial network.
  • Workshops in Caldas include Priscila Retamazo’s “Gamers y influencers” for 1º ESO, her “Síndrome Wattpad” for 4º ESO girls, and Pepe Cabildo’s masculinity session for 4º ESO students across IES Aquis Celenis, CPR Sano Fermín and CPI Alfonso VII.
  • On 25 November in Caldas, vocational students attend Redrum Teatro’s “Sophie non é o meu nome de guerra” at 11:30, followed by a public gathering at the Casa Consistorial with a manifesto reading by the Municipal Library’s Book Club; Seara Teatro closes the program on 30 November with “As furias de Elena Valdomar.”
  • Bergara’s program features Petit Cabaret’s “Casarse por papeles... verdadero amor!” at Seminarixoa at 20:00, presenting a migrant caregiving perspective created by Magy Castillo.
  • In Bergara, pensioners meet on 24 November at 12:00 to spotlight violence against older women, and a feminist march on 25 November sets off from the Plaza at 19:00 under the slogan “Konplizitate sareen aurrean, Erresitentzia Feminista!”.
