Overview
- The voluntary recall covers limited batches of Long Grain White, Whole Grain Brown, and Long Grain & Wild Ready Rice with best-by dates of August 2026.
- Officials say the small, naturally occurring stones may cause oral or digestive tract injury if ingested, and no injuries or illnesses have been reported to date.
- Impacted lots moved through Associated Grocers, C&S, and Dot Foods in August–September and were sold at retailers including HEB, Target, Amazon, United Markets, and Piggly Wiggly, with additional outlets possible.
- Consumers should not eat the affected pouches, should check batch codes on the bottom seal, and can initiate returns via Ben’s Original Consumer Care at 1-800-548-6253.
- Ben’s Original says the issue is isolated to the listed batches and reports that affected products are being removed from store shelves following notices issued Oct. 10 and posted by the FDA on Oct. 14.
