Overview

• The India Meteorological Department issued a three-day yellow alert for Bengaluru, with cloudy skies and one or two spells of rain or thundershowers expected.
• KSNDMC announced a seven-day advisory from October 8–17, flagging scattered to moderate rain in the Krishna basin and isolated heavy falls in coastal, Malnad and southern interior districts through October 12.
• Gusty winds of 30–40 km/h are likely at one or two places in Bengaluru Urban and Rural, Chikkaballapura, Kolar, Tumakuru and Ramanagara, with similar conditions possible in parts of Ballari and Vijayanagara.

• IMD’s short-term outlook indicates light to moderate rain in coastal and north interior Karnataka and fairly widespread rain across parts of the south, while Bengaluru is set for light rain with temperatures near 27–29°C by day and about 20–21°C at night.
