• Sufiyan alias Sufi, 26, and his 24-year-old associate Mateen were arrested by Bengaluru police for robbing a man they lured from a gay dating app
• The victim was taken to a shed in Vyalikaval Layout on July 5 and forced to transfer ₹3,260 from his digital wallet under threats of violence
• Officers booked the case under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Section 309 (robbery) and continue to pursue a third accused who remains at large
• Pune and Mumbai cybercrime units have also arrested suspects in related app-based extortion rings and are mapping inter-state mule networks
• Investigators are analysing encrypted messages, digital-wallet transactions and call-centre links to dismantle organised syndicates targeting LGBTQ users
