Overview

• BMRCL will operate the Yellow Line from 5 AM on Monday, August 18, with first departures from R V Road and Delta Electronics (Bommasandra) stations.
• The one-day schedule change responds to expected passenger surge over the long Independence Day weekend and reverts to a 6:30 AM start on Tuesday.
• Yellow Line service currently runs three driverless CBTC trainsets at roughly 25-minute headways while additional sets complete depot testing.
• Feeder buses have been deployed and a fourth trainset is undergoing trials to alleviate crowding ahead of full 15-train, five-minute peak service by early 2026.
• Purple and Green lines will maintain their usual Monday start at 4:15 AM under existing schedules.
