Overview

  • BMRCL inducted the fourth Yellow Line train on September 10 after completing the required 750 km of mainline trials.
  • Weekday services now begin at 6:00 am with 19-minute headways, Sunday start remains 7:00 am, and last departures stay at 11:55 pm from RV Road and 10:42 pm from Bommasandra.
  • The 19 km corridor between R V Road and Bommasandra opened in August with three trains, leading to 25-minute gaps and crowded platforms.
  • Daily usage has averaged roughly 60,000 to 80,000 riders, exceeding initial projections of 25,000 to 30,000.
  • Additional trainsets are expected in the coming weeks, though bogie supply from China may affect delivery, and a Bengaluru MP has urged airlifting bogies to speed deployment.
