Bengaluru Highway Crash Kills CEO and Family as Truck Overturns

A loaded container truck lost control on NH 48, crushing a Volvo SUV and killing all six occupants, including a Bengaluru tech CEO and his family.

The accident occurred on NH 48 near Nelamangala, Bengaluru, when a truck carrying 26 tonnes of metal lost control and crossed the median.
The truck collided with a milk truck before toppling onto a Volvo XC90 SUV, killing Chandram Yegapagol, a tech CEO, and five family members.
CCTV footage shows the SUV driver slowed down to avoid the collision, but the truck's heavy load made the crash unavoidable.
Investigators highlighted that the accident site, a slight incline, has a history of similar incidents, raising concerns over road safety measures.
The truck driver, who survived with injuries, stated that sudden braking by another vehicle caused him to lose control; an investigation is ongoing.
