Bengaluru Father-Son Jewellers Arrested After 1.3 kg Gold Bar Seized

Investigators say the pair took a colleague’s ornaments under a profit-share arrangement, then failed to return either the gold or proceeds.

Police identified the accused as Rajendra Kumar and his son Jeevan, residents of Nehru Nagar in Seshadripuram.
Officers say the duo melted the ornaments into a single bar, with a November 5 search yielding a 1.3 kg recovery valued at about ₹1.6 crore.
A jeweller from Nagarthpet alleged the gold was taken between July 28 and September 4 on the pretext of selling with a share of profits.
The complaint was filed on September 8, and police apprehended the suspects on October 28 following leads from informants.
Both were booked for cheating and criminal breach of trust, produced in court, and remanded to judicial custody as the probe continues.
