Bengaluru Father Arrested for Killing Teen Son Over Mobile Phone Dispute

Ravi Kumar, a Bengaluru carpenter, is accused of killing his 14-year-old son, Tejas, after a heated argument over the boy's mobile phone addiction and lack of interest in studies.
The incident occurred in the Kumaraswamy Layout area, where police found the family preparing for Tejas's last rites, raising suspicions about the nature of his death.
Autopsy reports revealed that Tejas suffered serious internal head injuries and multiple wounds, confirming a brutal assault before his death.
Kumar allegedly attempted to cover up the murder by cleaning blood stains and hiding the cricket bat used in the attack, as well as preparing for the funeral to make the death appear natural.
The police investigation is ongoing, with Ravi Kumar in custody, and Tejas is survived by his parents and two younger siblings.
